  • Need 8 honors credits, NOT the same as units

  • The most important thing is what you don't learn in the classroom
  • Most people in Honors colleges don't take on classes they don't think they're good at
  • 5 Words that Ought to be on your Resume:
    • 1- Vulnerability
      • vulnerability vs. oversharing
      • (husband surfing example)
      • Why it's important to be vulnerable
        • most people are afraid to ask what they want
        • the more vulnerable you are, the more you will get back
      • be open
    • 2- Beauty
      • we harbor a really bad definition of beauty
      • (Maury Povich Show example)
      • looking at the real beauty of others
    • 3- Passion
      • enthusiasm: "infused with the spirit of a god."
      • passion is one step above enthusiasm
      • you get 2 seconds to make an impression on people
      • MLK: "If you don't have something you would die for, you're not living."
      • Ghandi "Every night you die, and every morning is like another birthday."
    • 4- Revolution
      • Things can only change if you make them change
      • 1 great thinker/idea is at the root of every revolution

    • caused everybody to have opinions and to think about things
